Just a few days ago, as furrylittlegnome headed north, she was a little disappointed in the color. She was already in the Green Mountain State and expected to see the bright reds, yellows and oranges the autumn leaves had to offer. There were yellow and orange leaves, but they were not bright like in years past.
When she finally reached central Vermont, where it was cold, rainy and gloomy, gnome saw what she had been looking for, and it was just outside a window from her family homestead. The sun’s rays were not needed to brighten up these leaves…
As the weekend progressed, so did the color. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. Here is a snapshot of what was seen in East Montpelier, Vermont!
Maybe it’s late color or maybe it’s dull color this year.
