Once you pass under the Bad Tolz Tower, you enter Market Street which is closed to traffic. Here, the baroque houses line the stone street, and in keeping with Bavarian tradition, the facades are painted.

I have a bunch of Playmobil sets from when my boys were young. I also like to get some of the single little sets as gifts for adults! Need to wait until grandson is just a tad older to pull them out. He is still in the Duplo/Lego and larger Mega blocks mode.

It took a few shows but I like the new Sherlock – Elementary. 🙂
    Thanks for you visits…enjoy yours.

  4. So pretty!
Exactly what you would imagine it should look like. 🙂

I had the pleasure of living there in the late 80s. The kaserne just outside of town had been the home of the 1/10th US Special Forces Group. Prior to that, it had been the home of the Nazi SS officers’ school. Bavarians are some of the most wonderfully warm people on the planet….and let’s not even talk about the food. Dang, I sure miss it. Thanks for the photographic walk down memory lane. Still as beautiful as I remember it.

    • Furry thinks she knows exactly where you are talking about – the area now houses a Montessori school and athletic complex. Bad Tölz was just wonderful! The streets looked fake as the buildings were just so perfect! Thanks for visiting!

The beautiful scenes truly remind me of “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, the sixth 007 movie. Such grand settings!
