Furrylittlegnome is all packed for her Memorial Day weekend visit to her native state: Vermont! Her bag is bigger than she is and probably weighs more, too. Her ride home will be courtesy of a bright yellow Fiat!
Gnome will be arriving in Central Vermont later this evening and tomorrow afternoon, she will be on Lake Champlain celebrating a milestone birthday of a family friend and hopefully basking in the sun. It is supposed to be sunny and 80 degrees!
Another highlight of the long weekend, after visiting Mr. Z’s, will be furrylittlegnome’s trip to Montpelier – where she will enjoy her first maple creemee (soft serve ice cream) of the season!
That said, as a member of a family full of decorated military servicemen, it is important for us all to pause at some point during this holiday weekend to remember the sacrifices our servicemen and women make for our country. No matter what side of the political aisle you may be on, we must never lose sight on how important Memorial Day is to us all!
