Furrylittlegnome likes sweets. There’s no doubting that. As many of you have learned from this blog, she likes her Thin Mints and her Cadbury Creme Eggs. Something furrylittlegnome hasn’t written about, until now, is her love of chocolate chip cookie dough.
The other day, gnome was relaxing at home when she got a telephone call from family friends to have dinner. She didn’t budge – until the words “chocolate chip cookie dough” were uttered. Furrylittlegnome was out her front door before you could say “favorite lawn ornament”.
As she walked through her friends’ front door, the aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies filled the air. Awaiting furrylittlegnome at the kitchen table was a spoon and a robin’s egg blue mixing bowl. Inside the bowl was pure heaven – chocolate chip cookie dough.
The ingredients for the dough?
3/4 cup of brown sugar
3/4 cup of sugar
2 tsp of vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
And, friends of the furrylittlegnome, do not eat all of this! At some point, you are going to need to bake the dough. Roll a teaspoon into a ball and place on a cookie sheet. Place in the oven at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
