These fingers!
There have been quite a few recipients of furrylittlegnome’s finished needlepoint projects. Some have been given as gifts while others have been made specifically for gnome friends. And, to be fair, furrylittlegnome has been the recipient of someone’s hard work as well. Look at this Union Jack belt made just for her!!!
The first project furrylittlegnome completed was a small flower that was made into a pillow for her mother. That treasured pillow hasn’t left the corner of gnome’s parents bedroom in over twelve years (after mother placed it there for safe keeping). A snowflake ornament was made for a friend; a candy ornament for another. This pillow, needlepointed by yours truly, was made for a furrylittlegnome follower.
Here is a sneak peek at some new projects furrylittlegnome is working on –
Purchased at Stitch Boutique of Boston, this holiday tree canvas is adorable and gnome cannot wait to start stitching it. She will have it made into an ornament, and yes, it will be a special holiday gift to someone. Stitch Boutique is located on Berkeley Street in Boston between Boylston and Newbury Streets. The inventory is impressive, and the women who work there are pleasant and a joy to speak with.
And, from Knit & Needlepoint, a healthcare / first-aid belt for one of furrylittlegnome’s favorite doctors!
This needlepoint store has been on the first block of Newbury Street for many years, however, gnome has found out that they will be moving down towards the Prudential Center soon. Their Newbury Street locale is cramped, but that is because there are so many canvases to choose from. Joan is a sweetheart, always helpful, and her recommendations with any projects have never been wrong.
Don’t worry, furrylittlegnome followers, I promise that by year’s end, you will all see the finished projects, and they will look magnificent!
Very cute projects! I wish I was that crafty!
Thank you! They are very time consuming…
Dear FLG,
I love your work! Maybe someday you will give me lessons!!!!
…if you’re lucky…
